No.55 April 2003 | Contex HOME THE KNOWLEDGE London Brain Teaser No 46 An armchair treasure hunt around London this time. Start at the base of a memorial to the Duke of Bronte and walk past an equestrian statue of a man who died wearing two shirts, heading in the direction of a well-known empty tomb. On the left is a statue of a "master of strategy" who was raised to the peerage in 1946 but didn't change his name. Finally, have a look along the street on the right, named after an early graduate of Harvard University. The first door on the right of this street has a name plate on it. Who does it say lives here? |
