Context is a quarterly magazine written and produced entirely by COLAS members, whose skills and interests encompass many aspects of history, archaeology and related disciplines.

A typical issue of Context comprises 36 pages of archaeological news, lecture notes, reports on recent excursions and site visits, features on members' own research and travels, notices of upcoming courses and study days, as well as our popular Brain Teasers.

The small selection of articles here concentrates on topics of particular relevance to London history and archaeology, although COLAS members maintain a lively interest in all aspects of archaeology through our monthly lectures and within the pages of Context.
