THAMES FORESHORE EXPLORATION Sat 2nd June, Sun 3rd June 2007

It is over a year since COLAS went officially to the Thames foreshore in Wapping and Shadwell and made any recording.   As we know from past experience the river will have caused changes in what can be seen, or not seen in that time.

I therefore propose to lead a group of anyone who would like to come, to revisit our favourite areas and help me check what is now visible to what was originally recorded by the Thames Foreshore Survey.  We will meet at the rendezvous below and proceed eastward for as long as the tide permits.

Please wear serviceable clothes, wellingtons or water-proof boots and carry your personal gear in a backpack if possible.  I intend to go ahead unless the weather is REALLY inclement.  Please contact me if you have any queries.

All Volunteers should refresh their memories as to correct foreshore health and safety conduct. See  www.colas.org.uk  Thames Survey ‘Important information for volunteers’.
